The status of each component on a host (or cluster) is indicated by a single icon. The components can have the following states:
Modified : The component has been modified, but the changes have not been commited to the MS database yet.
Invalidated : This status indicates that the component has to be updated because of a modification that was performed in another component. For example, committing modifications of the component invalidates the component, because the packet filtering rules have to be regenerated. Invalidated components automatically become modified when they are selected from the tree.
Committed : The modifications of the component have been saved to the MS database, but the new configuration has not been uploaded to the host. For details, see Section 3.3.2.1, Commit and Revert.
Uploaded : The new configuration has been successfully uploaded to the host. For details, see Section 3.3.2.2, Upload current configuration.
Running : The uploaded configuration has been successfully activated on the host (for example, the service/instance has been restarted/reloaded, and so on). For details, see Section 3.3.2.3, Control service.
Partial : These states appear when the status of the nodes in a cluster differs from each other. For example, the partial uploaded icon indicates that the new configuration was not successfully uploaded to all nodes.
Locked: The component is in use (and has been modified) by another user (for details, see Section 3.3.5, Multiple access and lock management). This status is indicated by the above icons having grayed colors, for example, .
Occassionally it might be required to manually modify the status of a component. This can be done from the
menu through the and menu items.Note |
