12.2.2. Load balance clusters

In load balance configurations, all nodes of a cluster provide services simultaneously to distribute system load and enhance the overall quality of service. Clients access the service by targeting a single domain name, without knowing how many servers provide the actual service.

The amount of traffic handled by one node is determined by some logic. Currently PNS does not provide any built-in tool for defining such criteria, therefore an external device has to be used. This can be either the DNS server, or a dedicated load balancer.
