3.1. Procedure – Installing Ubuntu Server

Purpose: 

To install Ubuntu Server, complete the following steps.

Prerequisites: 

Steps: 

1. Download Ubuntu 18.04 LTS from the Ubuntu Server downloads page.

2. Write the installer to an installer media. This is typically an USB drive.

3. Boot the system from the installer media and select the following options:

   • Guided - user entire disk (Partition disks).

   • No automatic updates (Configuring tasksel).

   • SSH (Software selection).
